Personal profile


Sarah Rutherford is a secondary teacher-educator in sociology of education, language and literacy education, and adolescent development. She has both teaching and schooling experience in a range of cultural and international contexts, across public, independent, and Catholic school systems. Her Ph.D. investigated secondary school students' intercultural learning during an international service trip to a developing nation. 

Research interests

Internationalisation, international service trips, international service learning, and intercultural learning and understanding.
