Dr Sarah Larcombe is a postdoctoral researcher in the Infection and Immunity Program at the Monash University Biomedicine Discovery Institute. Sarah completed her PhD in 2018 in the laboratory of Professor Dena Lyras at Monash University. Her research interests include healthcare-associated bacterial infections, antimicrobial resistance, and the gut microbiome, having received the Royal Society of Victoria’s Young Scientist Award in Biomedical and Health Sciences in 2017 for her work on antibiotic-associated gastrointestinal infections. Sarah also has a strong interest in collaborating with industry and the commercialisation of academic research, and is actively engaged in STEM outreach.
