Biography

Sara Subhan is currently working as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Monash University Malaysia. She completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the University of Management and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan in 2019. She had completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology in 2011 from the Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan. Sara Subhan's career has included roles as a Lecturer at Government College University, Lahore, Pakistan and later worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Clinical Psychology, School of Professional Psychology, Lahore Pakistan, at the University of Management and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan.

Her academic responsibilities have involved teaching and training postgraduate students in various areas of clinical psychology, including psychological assessment, psychological intervention and psychotherapy, writing clinical reports in the area of adult psychopathology, school psychology, and research. She has also conducted research and provided support to various special and marginalised groups in Pakistan.

Her research interests focus on a range of psychosocial issues, such as attachment theory, grief therapy, trauma-related issues, interpersonal issues, mental toughness in sports and, the effectiveness of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy. She had worked with the populations, young women facing marriage proposal rejection, psychosocial issues among married women in shantytown areas, and the development of therapeutic manuals to evaluate the impact of psychological interventions on various populations, including pediatric cancer patients, mainstream school children, university students, and individuals dealing with loss and grief.
