Research interests

Our research interests lie in the area of sustainable catalytic processes, in particular elucidating the underpinning mechanistic details to optimise activity and efficiency, primarily using spectroscopic techniques. This research employs experimental and computational chemistry namely: organometallic chemistry, homogeneous catalysis and free radical reactions (including earth-abundant transitions metals and photoredox catalysis), novel methodology development and in situ reaction monitoring.

In collaboration with Assoc./Prof. Chris Thompson we are developing a profile in green chemistry education research, namely: context-based learning, systems thinking, science literacy and environmental awareness.
