I am a cybersecurity researcher and educator with over eight years of teaching and five years of industry experience, specializing in securing software applications and detecting advanced cyber threats.
I earned my PhD in Computer Science (Dependable Systems Security) from National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), Taiwan, under Prof. Yu-Sung Wu, where we developed PERMIT and SQUIRREL, innovative tools for detecting mitigating sophisticated security attacks. My research has been published in top-tier venues like IEEE Transactions and ACM. I also hold a Master’s in Cyber Security and a Bachelor’s in Information Technology.
Beyond academia, I worked as a Threat Researcher at TXOne Networks, Taiwan focusing on securing ICS/OT environments, and as a Cyber Security Engineer at Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan, enhancing software security. Additionally, I contributed to Vehicular Network Security as a Research Fellow at ESIGELEC—IRSEEM, France. I have also served as an Assistant Professor at Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal University, India.
Currently, I am a Lecturer at Monash University (Malaysia Campus), integrating research-driven insights into teaching while exploring emerging cybersecurity and privacy challenges.
I welcome collaborations on cybersecurity research and innovation—let’s connect!
