Biography
Associate Professor Sandra Nolte heads up the newly established Person-Centred Research Directorate at Monash Eastern Health Clinical School. Since embarking on her research career in 2004, Sandra has been specialising in the measurement of self-reported health, including the development, translation, cultural adaptation and validation of patient-reported outcome (PRO) measures across disease areas, with particular focus on oncology.
With over 20 years’ research experience in academia, the non-profit sector and PRO research consulting in Australia, Germany and the UK, Sandra has a deep understanding of the needs of different stakeholders in PRO research, clinical practice and industry. Over the last several years, she has developed close relationships with some of the most prominent institutions in the field, such as the International Society for Quality of Life Research (ISOQOL), the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) Quality of Life Group and the Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS®) Initiative. She is former member of the ISOQOL Board of Directors, the EORTC Quality of Life Group Executive Committee, and former co-chair of PROMIS International. She is current President-Elect of ISOQOL, with the 2-year presidency commencing in October 2025.
Sandra is open to research collaborations in Australia and overseas, and she is accepting students, especially those with prior experience and/or a keen interest in PRO research.
