Biography
Samir Gupta
PhD (Sydney), MBA; BBus (Perth, Western Australia)
Samir works in the Faculty of Business and Economics at Monash University as a Senior Lecturer.
Samir's research interests are in the application of network concepts, innovation, Business-to-Business marketing, strategic marketing management and in macromarketing. He has published in the Journal of Business and Industrial Marketing (JBIM), and Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Macromareting. The article in JBIM won the best article of the year in 2005 and was nominated for Best Article Award by the American Marketing Association's technology and innovation special interest group. He has also published many refereed conference papers. He received his PhD from the University of New South Wales in 2003 and is a recipient of Best Researcher in 2006 by the Department of Marketing - Monash University. He also received an award for his Doctoral Dissertation from Pen State University. He has wide industry experience and brings this experience into the class-room.
