Biography

Rebecca began her career as a Registered Nurse and worked clinically for a number of years including in the fields of neurosurgery/neurotrauma, dialysis and emergency. During this time, Rebecca developed a deep passion for public health and preventative medicine. This led her to pursuing a Masters of Public Health. Rebecca then transitioned her career towards research, with interests including chronic kidney disease, breast cancer and Parkinson's disease. Rebecca then completed a Master of Philosophy (Medicine) exploring the built environment and health. Since then Rebecca's interest areas have included women's health, implementation science and the health of multicultural communities.

Rebecca currently works as a Research Fellow and Project Manager for Monash University's Health and Social Care Unit, where she continues to explore her passion for multicultural health, and implementation science and equity. Rebecca is the project manager for Strengthening implEMentation Practice and Research with Equity (SEMPRE), which aims to develop the first programmatic, multi-sectoral and transcultural program of research focused on advancing equity-centred Implementation Science across health, social care, and education.
