Biography

Rebecca Robinson is an Education-Focused Lecturer in the Faculty of Information Technology, Monash University.

Monash teaching commitment

Rebecca is chief examiner and unit coordinator for the first-year unit FIT1058 Foundations of Computing, a core theoretical unit for students entering into the Bachelor of Computer Science. She also co-lectures the second-year core CS unit FIT2014 Theory of Computation.

In the past she has also taught the units FIT9131 Programming Foundations in Java, FIT1051 Programming Fundamentals in Java, and FIT2004 Algorithms and Data Structures.

Research interests

Rebecca’s research focuses on equity and diversity considerations in IT education, and in creating a learning experience that prioritises student wellbeing and makes high-quality computing education more accessible.

Rebecca is the Faculty of Information Technology's Equitable Learning and Disability Liaison.
