Biography
Sam works in the School of Biological Sciences at Monash University as an Emeritus Professor.
Sam's research areas of interest are:
- Community ecology with emphasis on aquatic systems
- Ecology of freshwater ecosystems, in particular flowing waters, lakes and temporary water bodies
- Role of disturbance (both natural and human-generated) in structuring communities
- Restoration ecology in Streams
- Impacts of exotic invaders
- Freshwater crustacean and fish ecology
