Biography
Peter Wagstaff (Wags) is a senior lecturer in the Department of Marketing at Monash Business School in Melbourne, Australia. He was recently appointed as one of the university’s first education‐focused academics, in recognition of his leading role introducing flipped learning at Monash University. Wags’ primary role is to provide a high standard of learning and teaching, educational design and delivery, and educational leadership. With responsibility for the first‐year unit Marketing Theory and Practice, as well as a teaching specialisation in digital marketing, Wags teaches literally thousands of students each year. His work has been recognised nationally and globally, including three Dean’s Awards for Teaching Excellence (2004, 2006, 2012); a special commendation and citation at the Monash University Vice‐Chancellor’s Awards (2007, 2013); a Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning, Carrick (OLT) Australian Awards for University Teaching (2007); and the ANZMAC-Pearson Distinguished Marketing Educator of the Year (2013). He has recent publications in the Journal of Marketing Education and the Journal of Business Research, along with numerous conference papers and presentations focusing on teaching and learning.
