Biography

I completed by PhD in environmental chemistry in the School of Chemistry, Monash University, in 2014, looking at carbon dynamics and whole system metabolism in estuaries with catchments along a land use gradient.

After my PhD, I worked for a bit at the Institute of Vector Borne Disease, in the diagnostics, production and product development groups.

My current position as a research fellow in the School of Biological Sciences, Monash University takes me to Makassar, Indonesia and Suva, Fiji conducting assessments of mosquito abundance and chemical indicators of water contamination during a sanitation and wastewater intervention in informal settlements as part of the interdisciplinary RISE project (Revitalising Informal Settlements and their Environments).
