Biography

Özlem Dursun-de Neef joined Monash Business School as a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Banking and Finance in 2023. Her research focuses on financial intermediation with a focus on bank lending, the real effects of financial intermediation, and house prices. She has published in leading academic journals such as Review of Finance, Journal of Banking and Finance, and Journal of Empirical Finance.

Prior to joining Monash, Özlem was a Junior Professor of Sustainable Banking at Goethe University Frankfurt. She holds a PhD degree from Vienna Graduate School of Finance.
