Biography

Ir. Dr. Ooi Jong Boon is currently a Senior Lecturer at School of Engineering, Monash University Malaysia. He was an Assistant Professor at Faculty of Engineering & Science, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) from 2017 to 2021. He was a Lecturer at Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Tunku Abdul Rahman University College from 2011 to 2013. He received his Ph.D. from Monash University Malaysia in 2017 and M.Eng. and B.Eng.(Hons) degrees at UTAR in 2013 and 2009 respectively. He has published over 30 papers in high impact international journals. He peer reviewed several high quality international journals and serves as an editorial board member for Scientific Reports, Discover Energy, and Energy Research Journal, Science Publications. He has teaching experience in undergraduate (Thermodynamics, Internal Combustion Engines, Fluid Mechanics, Solid Mechanics, and Dynamics) and postgraduate courses (Advanced Fluid Dynamics, Advanced Thermodynamic Systems, and Corrosion of Materials). His research interests are in combustion science, internal combustion engines, biofuels, and nanotechnology. He is also dedicated in training undergraduate and postgraduate students through seminars and workshops.
