Biography

Dr Fatokun is currently a Senior Lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia. He is a registered pharmacist with several years of teaching, research, and professional practice experience. He obtained his Bachelor of Pharmacy and Master of Pharmacy in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of Lagos, a Master of Public Health from the University of Johannesburg, and a PhD in Pharmaceutical Policy from Universiti Sains Malaysia.  Dr Fatokun has extensive undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience in clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice, pharmacoeconomics, pharmacoepidemiology, and evidence-based medicine. Dr Fatokun is a health services researcher and has received competitive grants to carry out his work. He has successfully supervised both undergraduate and postgraduate research students. Dr Fatokun has published his work in several high-impact peer-reviewed journals and currently serves on the editorial board of PLOS Global Public Health.

Research interests

Dr Fatokun conducts health services research to generate evidence to improve population health. His research interests are concentrated in comparative effectivenes research, health economics, pharmacoepidemiology, and pharmacovigilance with the goal of providing a comprehensive understanding of the value, benefits, and risks of pharmaceuticals and related health technologies. His research background also includes work in public health and pharmacy practice.
