Dr Omkar's research zeroes in on the shifts in the consumer value hierarchy that are rapidly reshaping the marketplace and the broader social landscape, triggered by the deep integration of emerging technologies into daily routines. This work systematically traces the shifts in what consumers prioritize, examining how digital interaction elevates values such as immediacy, hyper-personalization, and algorithmic efficiency while subtly challenging the enduring importance of established virtues like prudence in saving, patient delayed gratification, and local community stewardship. Understanding how value perceptions are evolving helps marketers design products and communications that remain ethically aligned with future audience expectations. These insights also support better social governance, as relying on outdated assumptions can lead to strategic mistakes, reduced customer trust, and faster organizational decline.

Dr Omkar's previous role encompassed the Head of Program (MBAs) at a leading private university (ranked top 1% globally). Prior to this, he assumed the position of Head - Centre for Postgraduate Studies at a reputable private higher education institution (offering UK franchisee programs (bachelor's and master's) in Malaysia and Singapore), overseeing academic, administrative, strategic, and business development leadership. Preceding his tenure in academia, Dr. Omkar served in a managerial capacity focusing on service operations within one of the largest private-sector commercial banks.
