The use of indirect calorimetry in critically ill patients, gastrointestinal function during critical illness and the nutritional management of Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation patients.

Biography

Oana is a Research Fellow and Dietitian. She has worked at the ANZIC-RC since 2018 and co-leads the ‘Metabolism’ stream of research in the Nutrition Program which includes ECMO energyMEASURE and DIRECT research studies. Oana has received over $1.5 million in grant funding and authored over 25 publications. In 2022, she was selected as 1 of 20 clinical nutrition researchers internationally to take part in the Fresenius Kabi JUMPstart Program, a clinical nutrition advanced research training program and has been the recipient of several prestigious research awards.
