Biography
Noè Harsel is a writer, podcaster, arts producer and executive leader working at the intersection of culture, storytelling and community. She is currently Senior Policy Advisor and Senior Lecturer (Practice) at the Australian Centre for Jewish Civilisation at Monash University, and was formerly Museum Director and CEO of the Jewish Museum of Australia, where she led impactful exhibitions and programs that fostered dialogue around identity, culture and history.
She is the creator of the podcasts Why Write and Like Us (with SBS), and the founder of Live Write, an online writing space. Her work appears across journals, magazines and digital platforms, and she regularly curates and hosts public conversations exploring creativity, culture and social justice.
A former Chair of Writers Victoria, Noè has held advisory, judging and leadership roles across the arts, government and social change sectors. She brings a strong commitment to inclusive engagement and building vibrant creative communities.
As Senior Policy Advisor, Noè will drive the engagement, education and translation components of MIRRA, working at the interface of research and practice, co-developing solutions with stakeholders and delivering evidence-informed programs, policy advice and educational initiatives.
