Biography

Anthony Guo is a Professor in Mechanical Engineering, and the Head of School, for both the School of Engineering and the School of Information Technology at Monash University Malaysia. Prior to joining Monash in 2009, Professor Guo developed his academic career at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Professor Guo obtained his B.Eng from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China, and his PhD from Imperial College London, UK. He has research interests in stress wave propagation, application of ultrasound, piezoelectric transducer, smart materials and structures, material characterization, nondestructive testing techniques etc. He has published widely with over 130 publications in journals and conferences, secured competitive research grants over S$2 million and graduated more than 10 PhD students.
