Biography

Nicole Kellow is a lecturer in the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Monash University. She completed a Bachelor of Science (1996) at Flinders University of South Australia, a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics (1998) at Deakin University, a Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Health Care (2009) at Mayfield Education and a PhD at Monash University/Baker IDI (2017).

Nicole is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) and a Credentialled Diabetes Educator (CDE) with over 15 years of clinical experience. She has worked in rural and metropolitan centres in both Australia and the United Kingdom. Nicole's area of interest is in the management of diabetes (type 1, type 2 and Gestational Diabetes). She worked as a DAFNE (Dose Adjustment For Normal Eating) Educator from 2007 - 2014.

Nicole completed her PhD in 2017 at the Monash University School of Public Health and the Glycation, Nutrition and Metabolism Laboratory at Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute. Nicole is employed full-time at the Department of Nutrition, Dietetics & Food at Monash University.
