Biography
Dr Nicky Jacobs is an Associate Professor in Psychology and Counselling in the Faculty of Education at Monash University. Nicky co-ordinates the Master of Counselling program which is delivered in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong and has published and lectured extensively on a variety of topics related to psychology and education. Areas of research and clinical speciality include: tele Mental Health; bullying, trauma, academic achievement and counselling with a focus on quantitative analyses. Nicky has extensive clinical experience. She has AHPRA endorsements in Clinical and Counselling psychology, as a supervisor (4+2; 5+1) and is a member of the APS Clinical and Counselling Colleges. Nicky also has a strong background in Education and Developmental psychology which resulted from her work as a special education teacher of socially and emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. Nicky was made a Fellow of the Monash Education Academy in 2015 and was one of three recipients of the Monash Education Academy's Teaching Accelerator Awards in 2015.

GROUP PROJECT:
Evaluating digital technology including Apps; Factors that impact on Childhood aggression including self-control; attitudes; self-esteem; self efficacy; and social skills.
INDIVIDUAL PROJECTS:
Digital technology and e-learning; Apps in Therapy; Impact of Social media and Smartphones; Bullying; Attitudes and expectationsl; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy; Critical Incident Management (debriefing, PTSD etc); Couples Therapy.
