Mr Nathan Farrow is a clinically-trained nurse, specialising in critical care, emergency and trauma nursing, and nursing education.  In addition, he has postgraduate qualifications in Professional Education and Training, and has undertaken additional studies in Human Factors and Safety Management Systems. He has overseen the risk management and quality improvement frameworks for one of the largest health services in the state of Victoria and has managed more than $3 million in trauma related research and projects.

Over the years, Mr Farrow has developed expertise in risk management and quality improvement frameworks in health services and was appointed the National Trauma Quality Improvement Manager in 2011 to manage the development of the Australian Trauma Quality Improvement Program (AusTQIP).

Mr Farrow has been an integral part in the beginning stages of the Australia India Trauma Systems Collaboration (AITSC), formalising many of the interventions over the first year and a half of the project as Program Manager. He has returned to postgraduate clinical work and remains a Co-investigator for AITSC on an advisory level for Intervention 3 – the development of a multi-disciplinary Trauma Quality Improvement program at the Collaboration's partner sites in India.
