I am actively looking for PhD students who are interested in working on computer vision and deep learning problems such as, adversarial robustness, learning from imbalanced data, learning with limited supervision, incremental learning, and large scale zero shot object detection. Please contact me, if you are interested. Onshore students will be preferred due to current travel restrictions.

Biography

Munawar is a Senior Lecturer at Faculty of IT, Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. He is an ARC DECRA fellow. Munawar completed his PhD in Computer Vision from The University of Western Australia (UWA). His PhD thesis received multiple awards including the prestigious Robert Street Prize. His research interests are in computer vision, machine/deep learning, and affective computing.
