Biography

Dr. Mohammed Alshawsh is a Senior Research Fellow in the Department of Paediatrics, Monash University. He is also an Honorary Fellow with the Epi-Genomic Newborn Screening (EpiGNs) program and GenV research initiative at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI) and an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Pharmacology, University of Malaya, Malaysia. With over a decade of experience in research, teaching and supervision, Mohammed brings extensive expertise to his role. He is well-versed in systematic review and meta-analysis methodology and actively supports various teams within the CAN group (Complex Autism and Neurodevelopment Research Group) to ensure that systematic reviews and meta-analyses are carried out with rigor and transparency. He has led more than 20 workshops and training sessions to educate researchers on best practices, promoting the adoption of standardized methods and enhancing the quality of evidence synthesis. Throughout his career, he has successfully supervised 14 PhD and 6 Master’s students to completion and is currently supervising 1 PhD student and Honours students. He has published over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals with an h-index of 25 and has delivered over 30 invited and plenary lectures at international conferences.
