Biography

Dr. Mohammad Sharif Karimi is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia. He completed his Ph.D. in Economics at University Putra Malaysia in 2010. In addition, in 2012, he got a Full scholarship from European Union Erasmus Munds for a Postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Warsaw in Poland, and in 2019 He also held visiting appointments at the University of Ottawa in Canada.  He has over 12 years of teaching experience in the field of Economics.

His principal areas of interest are applied econometrics, time series analysis, forecasting, and international economics. He has supervised Master and Ph.D. students in these areas. He has published over 70 peer-reviewed journal and conference papers, and some of his research has been published in high-ranked international journals such as Current Issues in Tourism, Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, and International Journal of Tourism Research., Also, he refereed articles for international journals
