Personal profile


Misol Kim is a Research Fellow in the Faculty of Engineering at Monash University. She completed her PhD in education for sustainability and has multiple degrees in Business Studies, Engineering and Science. She is specialised in developing educational assessment tools applying Rasch models. Her interests concern education for sustainability, the improvement of education programs through quasi-experimental research methods, and educational psychology.


Misol’s work within the Faculty focuses on:

  • conducting research across the faculty to analyse ongoing educational programs and develop programs for students to improve their employability competencies concurrently with their engineering degree.
  • Liaising with academic staff, students and industry partners to identify the relevant employability competencies and creating programs to integrate these skills within the faculty curriculum.
