Personal profile

Milon works as a research fellow under the guidance of Dr. Tracy Heng, in the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University.

Dr. Milon Pang obtained his Ph.D in Molecular Immunology from Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research (WEHI), Department of Medical Biology at University of Melbourne. He was trained as a Molecular Immunologist under the supervision of Prof. Stephen Nutt, examining the functions of DNA-binding proteins in stem cells, immune cells and cancer cells. He did his postdoctoral training in the same department under Dr. Nick Huntington, where he utilised humanised mouse models to study stem cells isolated from cord bloods, and how the DNA-binding proteins function in these cells. His primary interest is to understand the mechanism of how stem cells can be better used in therapies.
