Research interests

My research focuses on using solid-state defects to demonstrate quantum technology. In particular I use the nitrogen-vacancy (NV) centre in diamond for nanoscale quantum microscopy, metrology and information processing (quantum computing). My work is at the intersection of high-resolution optical microscopy, spin physics (EPR, NMR, MRI, etc), nanotechnology, condensed matter physics and atomic/quantum optics.
