Biography
Dr Mei Yee Lee is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Business, Monash University Malaysia. Passionate about accounting, she pursued a Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Honours) from the University of Malaya and later graduated with a PhD (Accounting and Finance) from Monash University. Mei Yee has accumulated more than 18 years of rich accounting experience. Her past experience in senior financial and management positions in global multinational corporations empowers her to bring industry knowledge into her teaching. She has been a professional member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).
Departing from the traditional focus of pure accounting research, Mei Yee's relentless passion beyond all-things accounting pushes her boundaries to expand into capital market research, corporate governance, taxation, auditing and finance. She has published in reputable journals and presented papers at international conferences. Mei Yee has jointly secured and completed two competitive grants of RM115,650 from the Malaysian Tax Research Foundation.
