Personal profile
Biography
I am a lecturer in communications, teaching primarily in the fields of public relations and strategic communication. My teaching draws on both my academic expertise and my professional background as a strategy, policy, communications and campaigns professional in the government and not-for-profit sectors.
My research typically explores topics relating to journalism, strategic communication and politics, with a focus on Australian political campaigns and movements, applying a feminist lens.
My most recent publication was a review in Lilith: A Feminist History Journal. I am currently working on publications exploring gendered mediation in election coverage of the Hawke government, media coverage of Commonwealth Commissions and Inquiries into family violence and family law, and feminist-washing in corporate communication.
