Biography

Mr Hamilton is an economist with three decades of experience in assessing, building and communicating the investment cases for health and education programs. Since 2013, Mr. Hamilton has pursued these goals as a health economist focused on program evaluation, policy analysis and strategic foresight. He is currently a Research Fellow at the Health Economics Group at Monash University. Previously (2015-2023), Mr Hamilton was Senior Policy Analyst and Lead of the Health Economics Workstream at Orygen and a Research Associate (2013-2015) at the Centre for Health Economics at the University of Manchester.

Mr Hamilton’s work as an economic researcher focuses on developing and
applying transferable and transparent health economic models to explore policy and health service system design topics. To facilitate this work Mr. Hamilton has developed a novel software framework called ready4. 

Prior to becoming a health economist, Mr. Hamilton worked in a range of policy, strategy and education roles in Australia, Ireland, Central America and the Eastern Caribbean. He is a current PhD candidate at Monash University and holds an MSc in Health Economics (National University of Ireland, Galway) and BBS in Accounting and Economics (University of Limerick).
