Biography
Marnie Connolly is a Senior Lecturer at Monash University, School of Rural Health East and South Gippsland. In this role Marnie provides leadership to the implementation of Years 2 -5 MBBS curriculum and clinical placements at the Bairnsdale site. Marnie is also a critical care nurse with an interest in developing educational opportunities using Simulation as a teaching modality for healthcare workers in rural and remote areas of East Gippsland - Victoria. Marnie manages a Simulation Suite at the Monash Rural Health site in Bairnsdale and was the recipient of the Australasia Simulation Achievement Award in 2015.
Research interests include interprofessional learning and medical education in the rural environment.
Marnie is currently a PhD candidate undertaking a research project exploring the social and economic impact the Monash Rural Health – East Gippsland has on the East Gippsland region, from a social capital and social accountability context.
