Biography
Mark Rearick joined the Monash Business School in March 2024 as an Associate Professor of Practice in the Accounting department. Prior to joining Monash, Mark had a long career as a finance and general management executive in the automotive industry.
In addition to his role at Monash, Mark serves as a Non-Executive Director in the Not-for-Profit sector: U Ethical (investment funds management company), and Are-Able (National Disabilities Insurance Scheme provider).
During his executive career, Mark worked for Ford Motor Company across the U.S., China and Australia. These roles included:
China (2017-2021)
- President & Co-founder of an electric vehicle subsidiary
- VP of Strategy for Ford of China
- CFO for Ford of China
Australia (2011-2016)
- CFO for Ford of Australia
U.S. (1992-2011, 2016)
- Director of Corporate Finance
- Finance Director – Operations Finance (roles across Marketing & Sales, Manufacturing & Product Development)

Mark holds an MBA (Accounting and Finance) and a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan
