Biography

I am an early career researcher with expertise in pulmonary rehabilitation, oxygen therapy and inspiratory muscle training. I am a physiotherapist by background graduated overseas and have worked providing pulmonary rehabilitation at home and in clinical settings for people with lung diseases. I am a Doctor of Philosophy in rehabilitation sciences and my research focus has always been adjunctive therapies to pulmonary rehabilitation to better improve quality of life and well being of people with chronic lung diseases. I have experience running clinical trials in respiratory medicine in Brazil, Belgium and Australia completing 9 years of research experience. I have professional experience in conducting and managing pulmonary rehabilitation programs and teaching in physiotherapy courses. I am currently a clinical trial manager and research fellow on a multicentre NHMRC funded ambulatory oxygen therapy study in patients with fibrotic interstitial lung disease conducted in Australia and Sweden.
