Biography
Manuel Hinojosa is a Lecturer (Practice) in the School of Earth, Atmosphere & Environment, specialising in spatial databases, data integration, and geospatial project design. His professional background includes over 15 years in GIS roles across academia and industry, with contributions to environmental modelling, exploration geoscience, and data governance. At Monash, he leads teaching in the MGIS&T program and supports the development of industry-relevant GIS curriculum. His areas of interest include spatial data modelling, workflow automation, and applied spatial analysis, with experience mentoring students and early-career professionals in geospatial science.
