Research interests

Mai’s research interests focus on exploring the application of moral traditions and practices within management and organization studies, with a specific emphasis on Eastern philosophies and practices. Her work is delineated into two primary areas: (1) exploring alternative approaches to management and organization studies through the lens of Buddhist ethics and practices, such as mindfulness; and (2) exploring meaningful work and meaning-making from non-Western perspectives.
