Personal profile
Biography
I hold a PhD from the University of Göttingen, where I graduated at the RTG Globalization and Development supervised by Prof. Axel Dreher and Prof. Andreas Fuchs.
I hold a Master degree in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics and Political Science and studied Economics at the Universities of Bayreuth, Bordeaux and Sao Paulo. I have work experience in development and project finance at KfW Development and IPEX Bank.
Research interests
My research examines the implementation and impact of international development finance with case studies from the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, and the People’s Republic of China. My research combines large, individual level datasets with robust methods for causal inference.
In a second strand of research, I examine the economic consequences of war and the rise of the far right with a focus 20th century Germany.
