Personal profile
Research interests
I am a political philosopher, with a primary focus on justice, equality and dignity. I have published extensively on the meaning and function of these ideals in relation to gender, multiculturalism and disability.
I am currently the Chief Investigator on an Australian Research Council project which will explore what dignity means for people in residential settings such as aged care, disability support accommodation and in medical facilities. Early results from this research have been presented to various medical and health care organisations, media outlets and international dementia organisations.
More information about my research, including links to forthcoming papers, can be found on my PhilPapers site.
