Lina Duque-Sanchez is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. Lina received her bachelor’s degree (Materials Engineer) from the University of Valle, Colombia (2011) and her PhD in Science from La Trobe University, Australia (2018). Lina’s research focuses on biofunctionalized and antimicrobial biomaterials for tissue engineering and drug delivery applications. Her research interests lie in the understanding of the interfacial interactions between biomaterials and biological tissue. Surface biofunctionalization, electrospinning,  low fouling materials, biodegradable and functional polymers and controlled radical polymerization techniques both in solution and surface-initiated for the improvement of biomaterials interactions are some of her research interest areas.
