Personal profile

Biography

Dr. Lim Lam Ghai earned his Bachelor’s, Master of Science, and PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. Currently, he is a lecturer at the School of Engineering, Monash University Malaysia.

His research focuses on advancing non-invasive neuroimaging technologies, with a particular emphasis on functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS). This modality uses light to measure hemodynamic responses in the brain, offering insights into neural activity without requiring invasive procedures. Dr. Lim's work aims to enhance the clinical applicability of fNIRS for diagnosing and monitoring neurological and psychiatric conditions, improving the understanding of brain function, and advancing mental health research.

Additionally, Dr. Lim is dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms to revolutionize the agriculture sector. His research in this domain includes developing AI-driven solutions for precision farming, such as optimizing crop management, improving yield predictions, and designing autonomous systems for monitoring and enhancing agricultural productivity. His multidisciplinary approach bridges engineering, neuroscience, and agricultural innovation, driving impactful research in both health and sustainable development.
