Biography

Dr. Leong Siew Lian is a registered pharmacist and a lecturer at the School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia. She received her Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) from the University of Malaya (UM), she pursued her Master of Clinical Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, National Univetrsity of Malaysia Malaysia (UKM), and a doctoral degree at Monash University. 

Having served in public hospitals, Siew Lian then spent majority of her working experience in the academia as a clinical lecturer in University of Cyberjaya (formerly known as Cyberjaya University College of Mecidal Sciences, CUCMS), where she conducted and supervised several undergradutes and master research projects. Her research is mainly in clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice to improve treatment outcomes especially in the field of oncology, for promoting a better quality of life in cancer patients.

 

Research interests

Siew Lian's specific research interest is in the field  of clinical pharmacy and pharmacy practice to promote rational use of medication and better quality of life. She is also has strong interest in evidence synthesis research.
