Biography

Mr. Wang Leong Seng is a registered and practicing pharmacist for 26 years. He hold Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons), Master in Business Administration and Diploma in Nutrition & Herbalism.

He has graduated from University Science Malaysia and served as a pharmacist in Hospital Pulau Pinang at the beginning of his career. He has later expanded his career horizon to multinational pharmaceutical companies, namely Abbott Laboratories and Bayer Healthcare. In the corporate environment, he has built extensive expertise in the leadership role of sales and marketing organization as well as regulatory and clinical research portfolios. He has successfully lead the company's country operation of Bayer Healthcare (Malaysia) to achieve rapid business growth for many years.

In the second part of his career, Mr Wang has pursued his entrepreneurial dream in developing pharmacy business ventures and corporate consultation services. He has started and operated two groups of community and wholesales pharmacy chains and successfully consulted a few others in their operation and marketing functions. He is a passionate practicing community pharmacist who care very much for his community and patients’ health outcomes and wellbeing.

Mr Wang truely believe in sharing his practicing experiences as a passionate pharmacist and a corporate expert to the next generation pharmacists. With his strong interest in expanding the roles of pharmacy practice in Malaysia, he has focused his research interest in health economic, evidence based pharmacy practice in the School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia.
