Biography
Leona Wiegmann joined Monash University as lecturer in 2017. Prior to joining Monash, she worked at WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management in Germany where she also obtained her doctoral degree. Her research interests revolve around interdisciplinary research in management accounting and control. Drawing on a qualitative methodology, her work consists mostly of field studies. Her research focusses on the change of management accounting practices, in particular regarding accounting systems, the use of information and the role of management accountants. Besides, Leona is also interested in organizational change and in particular the change of organizational routines. Her work has been published in book chapters, professional journals and international peer-reviewed journals such as Contemporary Accounting Research.
