Leon Baranowski is a health-systems leader and acadmeic whose experinece focuses on patient safety,  advancing practice, and EMS system delivery and design. With over 20 years’ experience across the UK, Canada, and Australia, he has held senior roles in clinical leadership, education, clincial operations,  and has led curriculum design that strengthen patient-centred care and improve patient outcomes. He collaborates with universities, ambulance services, and ministries of health, including recent initiatives with EMS Global Foundation to build EMS capability in low and middle-income settings such as Mongolia.

His current interests include mixed-methods evaluations with a focus on practice and care models to improve decision support and patient outcomes. His work and one of his strengths sits in translating evidence into models of care with pragmatic guidelines, supportive education, and measurable system outcomes.
