Biography
Dr Lee obtained her PhD in pharmacology and physiology from Universiti Malaya, and subsequently underwent postdoctoral training at the University of Shizuoka, Japan under the sponsorship of the Japan Global COE Program.
She joined the Pharmacy program of the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Malaysia in Nov 2009, and is currently Senior Lecturer of the School of Pharmacy, Monash University Malaysia. Dr Lee is one of the pioneer members of staff of the School of Pharmacy who has contributed significantly in various aspects in the progress of the School, including the establishment of the School of Pharmacy.
Her current primary research interests include utilising innovative educational technologies to improve students engagement as well as learning effectiveness of pharmacology and pharmacotherapy, and also discipline-based research specifically mechanisms that contribute to the development and manifestation of obesity, and identifying novel treatment options for obesity.
Dr Lee’s research has been supported by various internal and external competitive grants where she was the principal investigator. Her focus on quality education and research as well as her commitment to teaching has led her to publish in high impact journals and the receipt of numerous teaching and education excellence awards.
