Biography

Lavienraj Premraj is an Australian junior doctor (MD, Griffith University) with a research focus in Neurointensive Care. Specifically, he is interested in the management of acute brain injury in the ICU, both as a primary disorder and as a secondary complication of other disease processes or interventions like IMV, ECMO. His research examines the management of ABI in the ICU by leveraging large-scale, longitudinal data sets and novel statistical methods. Lavienraj has contributed numerous publications to the field, received abstract awards from the European Society of Intensive Care Medicine and the Society of Critical Care Medicine and functions as an ad hoc peer reviewer for Q1-3 critical care and neurology journals. Lavienraj aims to provide robust insights into the management of ABI in the ICU through extensive collaboration within Australia and abroad.
