Biography

Laurie Budd works in the Injury Analysis and Data group at the Monash University Accident Research Centre. Her work sits primarily in the field of road safety and includes evaluations and modelling of future benefits.

Research interests

 

Evaluation of road safety programs such as: intrastructure, jurisdictional speed enforcement startegies and safety cameras

Evaluation of survey data such as: Parental compliance survey about child care restraints 

Profiling road user types from  licensing, registration and crash data bases. e.g. Novice drivers, heavy vehicle drivers, taxi drivers and older drivers

Forecasting and evalutating crash benefits of active and passive safety in Australasian heavy and light vehicles, motorcycles and concessional vehicles

 Producing data for Road Safety fact Sheets- such as CMARC No. 8 and No. 13
