Biography

Lauren Hanna is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Monash University.

With over a decade of clinical experience in acute care at tertiary centres in Melbourne, Lauren completed her PhD in 2022, focusing on nutrition status, body composition and quality of life in upper gastrointestinal cancers. She now coordinates the world’s first online training program in CT-derived body composition analysis, and manages a multi-site clinical trial testing a novel nutrition intervention in pancreatic cancer.

Lauren is passionate about training dietitians in research, and improving the quality of life and care experience for people with cancer.
