Biography

Laura is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Monash University.




Laura obtained her PhD in Economics from Purdue University in 2010, and her Master in Development Economics from the University of Sussex in 2004. Her primary area of research is International Trade. In this field her work focuses on input trade, and trade and the environment. She also has interests in Health Economics. In recent work she has looked at the effects of cigarettes taxes on smoking behaviors.

Her work has been published in the American Economic Review, the Journal of International Economics, and the Journal of Environmental Economics and Management.
