Biography

Runzhe Gao is a Research Fellow in the Injury Analysis and Data team at the Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC). She holds a Master of Statistics and a Bachelor of Science majoring in Statistics, Pharmacology and Toxicology, with a strong background in biostatistics and population health.

Her research focuses on evaluating the impact of licensing systems, traffic infringements, speed management, and crash outcomes to generate evidence-based insights for road safety policy and practice. She has expertise in advanced statistical modelling, integration and analysis of population-level datasets, and translating complex findings into clear, actionable outputs to support targeted interventions and stakeholder decision-making.
